America Frozen

It was a frigid -11 degrees on a blistery January morning.  The warmer waters of Lake Michigan created a slow rolling fog just above the surface while the thick smoke from the nearby power plant filled the sky.  The sunrise bounced and reflected off everything in sight.  Through it all the trio of American flags stood watch.

Icy Windows

Icicles hang from the protective guard rail.  Perfect location to view a beautiful sunrise.

Ice and Ribbons

Strong winds and a slight warming broke up the ice of Lake Michigan to create a textured surface for this sunrise.

Icy Waves

The waters of Lake Michigan was thick with ice as the sunrise broke the horizon and created ribbons of orange.

Winter Harvest

A Winter Harvest of cold, ice, snow, fog, sun and water.

Frozen

Golden Daggers

Golden daggers glisten as the sun breaks the surface of Lake Michigan signaling a new frigid winter day.
